Not Your Ordinary Fruit: Stay Rooted and Suited
FOS Family,
2 Corinthians 3:6, “And He has qualified us as ministers of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life,’ has ministered to me a great deal, since the last blog.
As I continue to grow in my understanding that we have been qualified to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ, ‘the covenant of grace, of which Christ is the Mediator and surety’[1]. I am continuing to grow in the knowledge of the need to continue ministry by staying rooted in God, and His word (Colossians 2:7, BSB), continuing to be strengthened and nourished by the Spirit. Each day the word of God resonates in my mind, reminding me to…
“11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;” (Ephesians 6:11-18, KJV)
Please be encouraged, this day and every day. There is no instant fix to answers all the needs for the day, but God’s grace is sufficient every day. He provides new mercies every day and has provided us covering; keeping, equipping and the required qualifications to do His will and work. Our challenges are not always the same; however, if you would like to received continued encouragement, please join this fruitful movement by signing up via FOSMessenger, www.fosmessenger.com, and visiting the other ‘Fruit of the Spirit’ portals and get ready to receive your spiritual nourishment! Be ‘like a tree planted by the rivers of water’ (Psalm 1:3).
Stay blessed and favored!
Yours in Service to Christ,
Rev. Nichole
